Fishing Ban Declared for Conservation and Breeding of Fish Violation May Attract a Fine of up to ₹25,000

The Government of Chhattisgarh has declared a closed season from June 16, 2026, to August 15, 2026, to facilitate the natural breeding and conservation of fish during the monsoon season. Fishing will be prohibited in all rivers, streams, reservoirs, and natural water bodies across the state during this period. Violations of these regulations may attract a fine of up to ₹25,000.
